Proverbs

I couldn't find a proverbs thread so I thought I would start one.  I just found these worksheets on BogglesWorldEsl and I had a great after school lesson with them. 

I printed the proverb explanations and distributed them to students.  I asked them to memorize the proverbs and be able to explain the meaning in English using their own words.  Then I handed out the worksheet and they had to go around the room asking the other students what proverbs they knew and what they meant (speaking and listening, not reading and copying).  This worked really well and had them speaking English to each other. 

Depending on the time you can finish off with the test and the crossword.

I had to add 'Many hands make light work' by hand because it was missing from the sheet.

Let me know if you use this.  I'd like to see if it works well for others.
