march online lessons... let's split things up!
« on: February 27, 2010, 10:45:40 am »
hey guys!

as the new semester approaches, i'm sure we will be busy with classes, extra classes and online classes! i was thinking to make things a little less of a work load, so....

last semester a group of us got together for online classes, we were all doing gr.5.  we split up the wk's so we each only had to make about 2 lesson plans.  This made things so much less hectic! it worked great.

I will post my gr.5 lessons, but this semester I am doing grade 4 and 6, was wondering if we could get a group together to split things up again?

happy holidays!

Hi!

Are you in Elementary, Middle or High School?

I'm at an Elementary school and I'd be happy to split things up if you're at elementary too. I teach all grades.

Let me know

Thanks!

I'm doing Grade 5 this term, I'd appreciate seeing what you guys came up with. I did grade 3 last term, but I'll be the first to admit that my classes were pretty bad.

I'm also willing to share - I'm at an elementary school and I teach grades 1-6

hi there, i'm just wondering about the online lessons... are people using the school text book or making their own lessons from scratch?  we were told that it's a lot easier for the co-teacher if it's from the book (but a lot less fun).

i have lessons that i made (using only the textbook pretty much) for grade 5 from last year... most of them went fine (but it's about having a co-teacher who participates... that's the most important part).

i'm certainly up for sharing the load with someone else who is doing grade 5, especially as we need 2 lessons per week for each class.

I'm a new teacher for GEPIK teaching grades 3, 4, 5, and 6... So I'm all for working out a way to split up lesson planning! I'll be the first to admit, though, that my lesson plans might not be all that good seeing as I'm still getting used to the cirriculum here.

The easiest way to contact the teachers in your group is to look at the contact lists and send an email. I know that the gr 6 lessons are being split by a group. Contact Nicole Kirkpatrick (nkirkpat@gmail.com) to get in on those lessons!
I've heard there is a group splitting grade 4 lessons to, will post the contact info as soon I get it!

Keep sharing guys - like you said the book is pretty dry so any ideas you have to spice things up in the online class are a great help!
