Dependents of US Military Personnel Leaving Korea
« on: August 13, 2017, 07:37:08 AM »
When you hear of this happening it will definitely be time to grab everything you can
and head for the nearest exit.  From what I have read there are about 28,000 US
military in South Korea and about 40,000-50,000 dependents and other civilian
workers here at any given time.  Before the US starts another war it is almost certain
these people will be removed.

Keep your ears open.

Something I read the other day is that there are like 250,000 people who would need to be evacuated by the US...I guess mostly Koreans with American citizenship or American family.

Trump STILL hasn't named a US ambassador to South Korea and he's been gutting the state department so I'm not really too sure that they would do a good job of organizing an exit.

Please change the title as it's misleading. Depends are NOT in the process of leaving Korea.
