Waygook org of China
« on: August 06, 2017, 04:45:16 PM »
Hi - moving to China soon and wondering what the best site is to share information with expats. Recommendations from those living (or who have lived) there appreciated.

Hey guys i'm also interested in this. I found some city specific sites, but no one big site that seems active and covers all of China. Anything out there other than Dave's?

I have WeChat already too

site is lousy, seems very quiet

It's better than the 0 online forum alternatives that were posted. I found some useful info on there already.

Yeah, there really isn't a China wide thing... Dave's Cafe 'China' section is much less toxic than their Korean counterpart and there are some very helpful users there.

If you have WeChat, you should subscribe to:

GuideinChina
GDToday  < Guangdong centric

They are a collection of small articles and 'microblogs' posted daily, or just about, and they do provide a lot of useful information.

Yeah, there's a Guangzhou Expat site...called Guangzhou Expats lol - there's also a Shenzhen Expat site.

China has more big city sites instead of like a localized One Stop All Korean site like Waygook
