You find self-immolation a joking matter?

No doubt. I hate it when people make inflammatory remarks.  Buncha trolls.>:(

Also, I'm a bit impressed that the monk was able to set himself ablaze after "he poured inflammables on his body".

Because he was the most angry and died he was correct.  I put a knife in my stomach and foamed at the mouth because I thought they should move on from the issue, but this guy came up behind me with gasoline and a match and was al like rahhhh rahh.
Bonzai!

what a pointless loss of life. if korea wants democracy they need to follow some semblance of due process. yes, the president was a lame duck but you still ought to follow legal proceedings. that way you can hopefully get clear picture of what has happened and prevent it in the future. also to send an image to the rest of the world that korea is willing to keep stability in a politically uncertain time. all this stuff has lots of economic effects etc

I could make a joke about somebody else being all heart, but that might be going too far.

If some guy wants to douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire, whatever. This is self-inflicted and with premeditation.

Guess all his dreams had gone up in smoke.

I, too, find the draw of surrendering my body to the flames -- particularly after teaching my 4th grade after-school students.

Dancing on the guy's grave to the tune of "Disco Inferno" while wondering why you can't get no respect.
